We invite visitors to stroll our sidewalks and enjoy their time in our historic neighborhood.
Legacy
Our neighborhood association is dedicated to celebrating the rich history and cultural heritage of the South Gainesville neighborhood. Our mission is to preserve and showcase the architectural beauty and stories behind our historic buildings, inviting you to explore our vibrant past.
Lore
Along with the beautiful architecture, our neighborhood has stories to tell. Including, Lillian the Librarian, the ghost that walks the back stairs at Butterfield Theater, a house fire that almost destroyed one of the Victorian homes but has now been lovingly restored, a well and cistern discovered when an addition was demolished, and a third floor ball room, just to name a few.
